Fresher Air Naturally: 1

May 30th, 2009 .

fresh-air-1Fresh air can be extremely good for your health.  Of course, these days, that is what a lot of us worry about — the veritable lack of fresh air both indoors and outdoors.  It will take a lot of effort to do something about the air outside, but you can freshen the air in your home quite easily — and completely naturally as well.

Speaking of natural, plants and flowers are a great, natural source for oxygen.  Having them in your home can provide loads of fresh air.  The only thing you have to do is water them and take care of them — and they, in turn, will take care of you.

Some plants are beneficial in different areas.  For example, Boston ferns can remove formaldehyde from the air — and that is a more common occurrence than you may think. Peace lilies will clear out acetone. Several palms — bamboo, areca, and lady — are considered some of the best plants, for a variety of reasons. They are easy to maintain and to grow, they remove a number of chemical vapors, they release moisture, and they are quite resistant to insects.

Of course, all plants are good for removing carbon dioxide from the air. Flowers are as well.
