Feng Shui Your Way to Peace

June 19th, 2009 .

feng shuiMost of us — if not all of us — have at least heard of Feng Shui, which is an esoteric science of ancient Chinese origins. It can be beneficial, health wise, in a number of ways, one of which is through use of colors.

You see, colors affect your daily life more than you may ever expect. They actually attract what are known as planetary radiations. They can affect your moods and they can make a number of visual dynamics. In short, they have the power to improve or even negatively affect your day to day life.

Feng Shui concentrates on and thinks about colors in order to create a positive flow, by binding energy, or chi.

It actually suggests that if you choose the right colors, you can make a peaceful and soothing living environment. Not only that, but it will be one which attracts health, happiness, positive energy, and prosperity.

Keep in mind these simple tips: red colors evoke fire and passion, while yellow evokes a feeling of friendliness; white is a tranquil color and blue is visionary.

Another thing you can use is strawberries as a hair mask and even egg whites – these are just a couple different options you have, there are hot oil treatments and deep conditioning treatments available as well!

Fresher Air Naturally: 2

June 1st, 2009 .

fresh-air-2 Most of the methods for freshening the air inside your home can be done with things you likely have lying around the place right this minute. For example, most of us have white vinegar, right? Even if you don’t, it’s extremely easy to buy, and it certainly is not very expensive.

That being said, you can naturally disinfect and deodorize your home using white vinegar. It will actually kill any of the unpleasant odors in your home. So, this can be especially good for pet owners who are dying for fresher air.

You can mix one part white vinegar with four parts water to get an effective solution. You can mop with it and clean up just about any surface — though when using it in this way, you should dilute the mixture. You also want to begin by testing a small portion of the surface you will be cleaning, to make sure it does not have a bad or damaging reaction to the vinegar.
